To Return to school, or to not return to school...

So, I'm thinking about taking a semester off from school. I'm just so not into classes right now and I think the best thing for me to do would be to take a little break. But my mom thinks otherwise. She thinks that if I take a semester off that I won't go back. I've got three and a half years invested in college, I will go back, and I've told her this but she still wants me to go back this fall. A part of me tells me that I need to go back this fall, but another part of me keeps telling me that I need a break. I don't know... Any advice on the subject would be appreciated.

Hrmm.....difficult. I can associate with the burn out feeling. But then that is normal. The problem with taking the semester off is that once your out of the game it's hard to get back into the routine. During your time off you get into other things, Job, relationships, etc. and all of these must end once you restart the college life. In addtion you stand to loose some of the credits you've earned if you skip out on a semester. I can understand the feeling though. Perhaps a lighter course load this coming fall semester would be better. Less stress to deal with and your still in the game. I think that might be a fair compromise. You'll still be in school, but with more time to yourself.
